Spanning across the entire pool area is Mbrico's reinforced porcelain tiles in a Summit - Warm Grey look. Mbrico's porcelain tile with the Mbrico Safety Backer makes it the perfect product for handling the various conditions that may come in not only the climate, but the physical setting.

With concern of a slippery surface at the top of the list, it is important that the material used around the pool not only maintain a premium look, but also maintain traction for foot traffic when the rest of the area is inevitably wet. Mbrico's porcelain tile is designed to handle this problem, thanks to our ADA-approval in skid-resistance. This means no matter how wet the tiles get, the pool area remains safe with no fear of students slipping and falling. The machined-in gaps also allow for the pool water to efficiently drain.

Additionally, Mbrico's reinforced tile comes with an extreme resistance to scratches and a 4,500lb weight rating per slab. This allows for the managers at Verve to confidently place pool furniture and accessories around the area, like table tennis, on the Mbrico tile without concern of damage.

Ohio's extreme midwest winters means specific requirements from a decking product, such as an ability to handle the extreme winters and at times, aggressive sunlight during the summertime. Mbrico is built to handle all climates in any region, especially the midwest where customers may experience extremes in all four seasons.

Mbrico's reinforced tile has been freeze/thaw tested at temperatures nearing -60F for 60 years of cycling with "no visible change" reported. Combining this advantage with the fact that porcelain tile is non-porous, Mbrico's porcelain tile is perfect for regions with intense winters since it does not absorb water and does not freeze.

Mbrico has you covered in the Summer as well. Our tiles carry a solar reflectance index (SRI) between 60-80%, meaning your Mbrico Tile Deck will stay cooler to the touch compared to mainstream products such as composites, concrete, and lumber. During even the most intense Ohio Summer days, Verve residents will not have to worry about their feet burning by the pool or slipping when the area is wet.

Opposite of the pool area is the second-story deck sporting a cozy longue area to relax or study. This area features Mbrico tile as well, including a variety of different furniture and a mounted covering. Mbrico's durability allows for a beautiful setting without concern of wear and tear on the deck, maximizing the look the architects at Ankrom Moisan sought to create.

Mbrico is honored to be a part of the Verve Columbus project with the likes of Ankrom Moisan and Wolfrum Roofing to put together a beautiful student-living complex in the heart of Ohio.
