Mbrico Tile Decks is proud to announce that the Blue Plate rooftop project in Chicago, Illinois, has been named the winner of the 2026 Hardscape North America (HNA) Award in the Porcelain Paver Pavement – Commercial category.

The award was announced on October 22, 2026, during Hardscape North America in Louisville, Kentucky, recognizing exceptional craftsmanship, design, and innovation across the hardscape industry.

This year’s competition featured 135 project submissions from 25 U.S. states and four Canadian provinces, representing more than 2.2 million square feet of hardscape installations.

An Award-Winning Commercial Rooftop in Chicago

Located in Chicago’s Fulton Market District, the Blue Plate project features a 5,600-square-foot rooftop event space at Allium Events, designed to accommodate upscale gatherings and hospitality experiences.

The project utilizes Mbrico’s patented rooftop pedestal track system with reinforced porcelain pavers in Stone – Fashion Black, delivering a durable, high-performance surface that complements the venue’s architectural design.

The installation seamlessly integrates with surrounding architectural elements, including planters, ipe decking, and operable door systems, creating a cohesive rooftop environment while addressing structural performance, load distribution, and long-term durability requirements.

Previously recognized as the first-place winner of the 2025 Mbrico Excellence Awards, Blue Plate continues to demonstrate the possibilities of engineered porcelain systems in large-scale commercial rooftop applications.
