Porcelain is traditionally associated with tile installation. That usually means mortar or thinset underneath, grout between the tiles, and an adhesive bond connecting the finished surface to a rigid substrate.
Porcelain is commonly associated with concrete patios, interior floors and other rigid surfaces. That leads to an understandable question for homeowners and builders considering a different type of outdoor deck:
Yes, a well-designed deck can add meaningful value to a home. But square footage alone does not determine what that outdoor space is worth. Location, usability, appearance, material quality, condition
Decking materials are traditionally evaluated by what happens after installation. How much weight can the surface support? Will it absorb water? How hot will it become? Does it resist fading,
Rooftop amenities have become valuable differentiators for multifamily, hospitality, mixed-use and commercial properties. A well-designed rooftop can create space for dining, entertaining, recreation, wellness and social connection without expanding the

Fire resistance is no longer optional in many regions. Wildfire-prone areas, urban rooftops, balconies, and multi-family developments are all facing stricter fire code requirements. Yet many decking materials are still
The term “no-maintenance decking” is often used loosely in the building industry. In reality, most materials marketed this way still require some level of ongoing care. True no-maintenance decking should:
Flat-roofs offer one of the biggest opportunities in modern construction: turning unused space into functional outdoor environments. But they also introduce one of the most misunderstood challenges in decking. Most
Understanding Rooftop Deck Load Capacity The amount of weight a rooftop deck can handle depends on one thing first: The structural design of the building. Not the surface material. Not
ADA Compliance for Rooftop Decking Systems Accessibility is no longer optional in modern construction. For rooftop decks, balconies, and elevated amenity spaces, ADA compliance is a baseline requirement. Not just

What engineers, architects, and builders need to know Elevated deck systems are not just surface finishes. They are structural assemblies that must safely support people, furniture, equipment, and environmental loads
What architects, engineers, and builders need to know before specifying a system Rooftop decks are not just exposed to weather. They are subjected to uplift forces that can exceed the
Rooftop decks are one of the most demanding applications in construction. They sit over conditioned space. They are fully exposed to weather. They must manage water, movement, structural loads, and
Rooftop decks and elevated surfaces demand more than aesthetics. They require structural stability, long-term performance, and predictable behavior under real-world conditions. Pedestal paver systems are commonly used in these applications.
What architects and builders need to understand before specifying a rooftop or elevated deck system. The Core Difference: Surface vs System At a glance, both Mbrico and Tile Tech appear
Rooftop decks are one of the most demanding applications in construction. They sit directly over conditioned space, are fully exposed to the elements, and must meet strict structural, drainage, fire,
